Since my final exams were coming up I decided to find a little extra help during these stressfull times in my last year of college. I went through my books and found this usefull affermation ritual that I felt would be usefull.
Its taken from the book "Solitary Witch" By Silver Ravenwolf, a renowned writer in the Wiccan world.
Here is an extract with a few alterations to the text, for the original text refer to "Solitary witch" Part III - Pg. 161-163
Exam Affirmation
Supplies:
A current calendar, I made my own adding a personal sigil for "Success success success" to all the exam days.
A magical item, she suggests a new pen but I used a ring I found one day curiously marked with strange writings.
A piece of clean white paper.
A small red bag or piece of cloth, I used a clean red shoelance to bind instead.
Timing:
New moon, full moon, or on your birthday, or as otherwise mentioned.
Instructions:
Cleanse & concencrate all supplies with the four elements in a magical circle. Pick a key affirmation, such as "Success success success!" and empower the calendar and pencils with this affirmation. Dedicate the magical item and the calendar to Hermes. On the piece of paper, write the following:
Every time I use these/this (Item) while studying or for an examination, I will be filled with confidence and poise and I will be able to retain and recall any and all necessary information that is applicable to the work at hand. I will confidently know what to study and I will pass any and all examinations with great success. "So mote it be"
Wrap the paper round the Item and secure with a subber band. Place in the red bad, in my case wrap up with red cord. Thank deity (Hermes, in this case), close quarters (If you have called them), and release the circle.
How to work the spell:
Okay, so I knew I had an exam on thursday. Even though I did this spell I realised it would not replace actual studying. Each time I sat to study I would remove the paper from the red chord and take out the ring. I would read the affirmations alloud and then wear the ring while studying.
Once finished with that study session I would place the calendar on top of my notes, find the date of the exam and mark it off with a blue pen and hold my hands over it while saying alloud:
I will be calm, cool, and collected before, during and after the exam.
I will pass the exam with an excellent grade or better.
Then as the book continues, I would choose the grade I was aiming for and write it on the calendar day. And I would say the affirmation again ten times with my hands over that day.
Then to complete this proccess I would read the spell intent for the ring, wrap the ring up in the paper, and resecure with red chord until my next study session.

Now I did enjoy the structure and working of this spell but to make it more personal I tweaked it abit. As said I used a clean red shoelance instead of a bag, not out of creativity but rather thats all I had. Also, I chose a ring instead because I guess I always had a thing for enchanted rings, plus I had the thoughts of the ring holding the spells intent like a magical circle holds building energies... Personnefied by rolling the white paper up and putting it through the ring.
Also with some chaoist's flare, I dug up my books on sigil making to come up with a neat sigil for "success success success" which I added to all the days marked off on the calendar. And for my last piece, I found a nice small black box that I got with a flash disk, this I intended as a sort of "Chaos box" that I willed to hold all my items charged and ready... plus it served to keep the items safe.
That concludes this post, at the time of writing I am to be writing my first exam tomorrow. So thumbs crossed:-)
